The same robot, opened up

Faraday Future positions the Aegis Edu for education labs, university research, and developers building on quadruped robotics. It extends what the Aegis Pro does rather than replacing it, and everything you are paying the difference for is on the software and integration side.

SDK access and standardized APIs let a team write custom behaviors. Isaac Sim support means those behaviors can be prototyped and tested in simulation before they run on hardware, which matters when the hardware costs real money and a student wrote the code. The expansion ports carry Ethernet, USB, SBUS, and UART, so external sensors and peripherals are a wiring problem rather than a dead end.

Secondary development

SDK and standardized robot APIs with Python development, for prototyping, testing, and deploying custom behaviors on the platform.

Simulation

Isaac Sim environment support, so work can be built and tested in simulation before it touches the robot.

Lower entry point

A basic visual programming platform and the Openclaw no-code tool, so students without robotics background can program the unit on day one.

Ten or more preloaded dynamic motions and a 4K wide-angle camera with real-time streaming, carried over from the Aegis platform.

What comes with the system

These are compact humanoid systems, 1310 mm tall and under 40 kg. They walk, they hold a conversation, and they are built to be programmed. They are not material handling equipment, and the payload figure below is the honest limit on that.

FX Aegis battery

216 Wh lithium-ion, roughly 1.5 hours to a full charge, 1 to 2 hours of runtime. For a lab running back-to-back sessions, a second battery is what keeps the unit available all day.

The hardware is where it starts

We are the distributor, and we are also the secondary developer and integrator. On an open platform, that usually means your program starts from something that already works instead of from an SDK and a semester.

Secondary development

We build against the SDK and the APIs, including sensor work on the expansion ports, so the unit does your task before your students touch it.

On-site integration

We install in person, work through your network and device policy, and test in the lab where it will run.

Operator training

Your instructors and researchers run the system before we leave, and we stay reachable after that.

What your purchasing office will ask for

Pricing depends on the number of units, spare batteries, the controller you choose, and whether installation and training are included. We put the whole thing in writing rather than quoting hardware alone.
